The CCA is a 'sing-along' chorus & band consisting of volunteers of the Sons In Retirement (SIR), an organization for retired gentlemen. The CCA has been delighting audiences with music since 1972, and although sponsored by SIR Branch #33 in Carmichael, the CCA also has members of other branches of SIR. The CCA is on vacation the month of July each year and yet the CCA does over 55 performances each calendar year for a total of over 4,000 people. A usual performance is for 1-hour consisting of: an opening song + four sets of 3-5 songs with solos in between & 2 closing songs. The CCA program can also be tailored to fit any time constraints - such as a 45-minute or 30-minute program. Programs of special songs can also be arranged if the CCA Business Manager & Director are contacted far enough in advance. The songs performed by the CCA are set each month by our Director in coordination with the CCA Pianist and are changed monthly to fit the season, except for June's song list which is repeated in August due to the CCA being on vacation in July.
